Pre-Owned
Gently worn, not used, I’m just pre-owned.
Used, not broken, just a little worn and torn.
Life is full of 'what if's and regrets.
Check out her chassis, it is a creampuff.
Check her motor, the engine is clean.
This is just business if you know what I mean.
Pull the dents and Touch up the paint.
Like a stolen glance, a kiss to steal.
Used not broken just a little run down.
It is just highway miles no big deal.
Gently worn, not used, I’m just pre-owned.
Used, not broken, just a little worn and torn.
Rust formed around the edges.
Put bon-do on it, then sand out the rough.
Objects in the mirror appear larger than life.
Certified, Pre-owned in an imperfect world.
Toll taker takes its toll.
We get used but not yet broken down.
There is not enough love to buy off the soul, bruised.
Vintage, Love shown, some are driven hard and left wet.
Pre-owned or are we all just used?

I prefer the term "Pre-Enjoyed" . . . like the 2018 Lexus I just picked up.
