A Cowboy With The Indians For those care about my employment situation (I appreciate both of you), been some noteworthy events, in which I've been presented with what could be an amazing opportunity. Through my professional network, I've found myself engaged with two Indian entrepreneurs, are working with a large Indian manufacturer expand into the US market. My role would be develop the strategy and framework, then execute , as the lone resource in the US. If you're into titles, that also means I'll be president of the US arm, because we'll incorporate. The one leading the venture is a personal friend of my former manager and has the bona fides confirm this is a real deal. Admittedly, I a bit of an internal struggle regarding such a career choice. The dude in his 50's wants security, a 401k, and all that warm, fuzzy stuff. At the moment, he's being savagely beaten into submission by my desire to build something from the ground up, on my terms. Sure, I've built not insignificant hunks of business for others; it's what I'm good at. But the other time I've ever had the opportunity put my stamp on a company, was stolen by the Jason, I've previously written about (I was a threat, I had go). I'm not quite ready coast retirement yet, so I'm going for . We a meeting scheduled with the manufacturer on Thursday morning US time, so the three of us were hammering through the final details for our presentation and messaging. It's mostly a given that we'll be the partners chosen, because we're the outside partner being evaluated. Not mention one of the entrepreneurs used own this company and is close personal friends with the new owner. We'll a final decision in early February. 'll be interesting build a business from scratch during a pandemic, but I'm up for a challenge! |
