WORTH REPEATING... Although I am a woman in every sense of the word, it still pleases me that I can find a childlike wonder in so many simple pleasures, but then my Mother always said that small things amuse small minds. We find delight in the beauty and happiness of . Seek the wisdom of the ages, but look at the world through the eyes of a . I want to be a shooting star! I want to leave a trail of light so bright that even after people shut their eyes it still burns. There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in. I still live in and on the sunshine of my childhood. It's kind of fun to do the impossible. I am just too, too much. One of the virtues of being very young is that you don't let the facts get in the way of your imagination. Don't bunt, aim out of the ball park. Those who dance are considered insane by those who can't hear the music. For those who understand, no explanation is necessary, for those who don't, none will do. Happiness isn't getting what you want. It's wanting what you get. Be yourself. No one can ever tell you that you are doing it wrong. It is never too late to be what you might have been. If Joan of Arc could turn the tide of an entire war before her eighteenth birthday, you can get out of bed. Life is to important to be taken seriously. Live to the point of tears. I will dare to just do what I do. Be just what I am, and dance whenever I want to. The art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on. Part of the trouble with this world is that people grow up. They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be a . Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself. Too much of a good thing can be wonderful. I am here to live out loud. Forget your mistakes, but remember what they taught you. All you need is deep within you, waiting to reveal itself. Never bend your head. Always hold your head high. Look the world straight in the face. Don't compromise yourself, you're all you've got. You are pure potential. Dare to be remarkable. Those who dance are considered insane by those who can't hear the music. LOL And by some of us who can hear the music. "Dance monkeys, dance"  I know that is a quote from somewhere but I can't remember where and the internet didn't help.When I was growing up I always wanted to be someone. Now I realize that I should have been more specific........ Philosophic point, would you or could you be someone else?    The perversity of the universe is unbounded.

I decided a long time ago that life was meant to be lived and this addresses a lot of my ideas on enjoying life. The one about being specific makes me think that maybe I did grow up without being specific instead of trying to decide who I wanted to be when I grew up. Still wondering which it is.

Very good. I was given a framed picture with Oscar Wilde's quote "life is to important to be taken seriously." It was actually the first time I considered I had it backward. I was 36. I just wish all children could be taught just a tenth of what you listed. I also like, just because you made a mistake does not mean you are a mistake. Somehow I never learned that when I was small.

Bonnie--My Mom said the same thing to me (still says it & she is 92-God Bless her).. As a youngster I was always catching bugs in bottles--Was going to be a bug Nerd when I grew up..Instead I wound up flying airplanes~~Go figure?? Guess we learn to accept changes as we grow...Great read.. Be Safe/Warm Hugs--Bill I came into this world with nothing, and I have most of it left~~
