Turmoil: A Song
Turmoil: A Song I wrote this one night after some bedtime conversation. I picture it as a country song, with me singing in some dark bar, sitting on a stool, dressed in a black tank top and overalls, cowboy hat down over my eyes...crooning the words. check the first comment to see the song. Thanks y'all for the read!! ~~~" Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift." --Mary Oliver~~~ |

Turmoil Refrain: You say I brought the turmoil When I upset your perfect life Boy you make my blood boil Cuz I may not be your girlfriend But I damn sure am your wife Verse 1 I didn’t see it comin’ All the years we’ve both been through I had faith and trust believin’ Had no idea you’d been deceivin’ With this path you thought to choose You said you thought you had it made Got your music, your chick, your life Then somebody upset the apple cart A careless paper brought the strife [Refrain] Verse 2 You had to know this day would come When confrontation would rear its ugly head With words and screams and dashed up dreams Both wishin’ the other one dead. He really thought he’d had it made The complications were simple when With a home, a wife, a family And a little on the side now & then [Refrain] Verse 3 But tables do turn in life my friend And how are we to know That the wife could maybe understand And the girlfriend demands she go? [Bridge] Ah, but I will not go easily Into that sweet goodnight For I awoke to my man’s desire Sorry chickie, I’m ready for a fight. [Refrain] Fade out ~~~" Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift." --Mary Oliver~~~

You're basic idea of an outfit was spot on, though I'd replace the overalls with tight jeans, ensure the black top was low-cut, and that the hat didn't hide that luscious hair too much. You can easily change the feminine to the masculine. Well, baby used to stay out all night long She made me cry, she done me wrong She hurt my eyes open, that's no lie Tables turn and now her turn to cry Because I used to love her, but it's all over now Because I used to love her, but it's all over now Well, she used to run around with every man in town She spent all my money, playing her high class game She put me out, it was a pity how I cried Tables turn and now her turn to cry Because I used to love her, but it's all over now Because I used to love her, but it's all over now Well, I used to wake in the morning, get my breakfast in bed When I'd gotten worried she'd ease my aching head But now she's here and there, with every man in town Still trying to take me for that same old clown Because I used to love her, but it's all over now Because I used to love her, but it's all over now Because I used to love her, but it's all over now
