Sex workers

I have mixed feelings about people who provide sexual services for . California makes illegal. CA Penal Code section 647 (b). most of Europe it is not illegal. some parts of Nevada there are legal brothels, but they are fairly expensive.

Oddly enough many sexual activities for are legal. Strippers, cam models, porn performers, lingerie models, etc.

Massages are legal, happy endings are illegal.

Should people be allowed for sexual services? We let people work for pro football which can or injure them. We let people work in coal mines, which can harm them from black lung. We let people smoke tobacco which can harm them in many ways. We let people guns, which can lead fatal suicide, accidental death and crimes such as robbery and assault.

We let people sky dive, scuba dive, race cars, ride horses and drink as much alcohol as they like. All are dangerous. More dangerous than sex in a bed.

If a young woman or man wants provide sex for should we stop or punish them? I say young because older people can have a hard time giving sex away.... Just kidding....

We let musicians their talents. We let dancers their performances. We let opinion writers their viewpoints.

Why criminalize sex workers who are adults with adult their services? If you forget the Puritan impulse stop others from enjoying sex it is hard to justify criminal penalties for sex work. A rich guy marrying a trophy young wife seems close to sex work, but is legal. Seems a little like making owning a car legal but making renting a car illegal.

We use to criminalize using or marijuana. Now it is legal 37 states.

Will we decriminalize sex work?

Some Chinese women work in massage parlors and some of those offer sex for extra money. That choice can lead to immigration problems if more than one conviction for sex work. Some choose to risk it for the money.

If its between consenting adults...no coercion/trafficking etc . Its a service that is needed and supplied. Should be regulated and taxed, just like any other business. Its sad that people need to go underground...in my opinion. ~~

Sex work is ok if you choose to do that, But that is just a lonely and sad world who would really want to grow up and fuck strangers for money. It's more than job it's sometimes the only choice. I don't know what the percentage is but sex slaves are a big problem with it too. So, Yea... I'm not perfect but If you don't agree with something don't let it become a part of you.

I think sex work has some evils attached to the practice, but it is less evil than smoking, killing people with guns, or dementia brought on by concussions.

One problem is the sex worker can make so much money it is hard to give up the life style, despite the dangers and illegal issues. Criminalizing sex work adds to the trauma and stigma.
