A short little horror story . . . chapter 2

It was a long road ahead of her. Maybe she shouldn't have done it alone. On her own. Travel a long dark road alone with only the radio keep her company. She took the interstate across from Florida to California. It was the 10 across the Southern States. It was during the summer. 

Her air conditioning wasn't working. She rolled down the windows but even that didn't help traveling through the southern belt. The heat and humidity was unbearable. She always welcomed a cool breeze that might happen by. Like a friendly smile from the people, she met along the way. 

Soon she had drifted into the desert States a long lonely road of nothing but desert. A perfect breeding ground for the most sinful of people. To prey on the innocent the vulnerable in wait for victims a young beautiful woman traveling alone . . .
