Permission to Play Myself Out

My life, I find, is a plethora of opportunities to "play myself out" (Betray yourself by acting in a way that's opposite to your own interests or (conscious) intentions.) My current pressing engagement is to help a subordinate show that I don't do my job 100% of the time. Something that previously was not requested nor required of me has been clearly defined as performance measure of somebody else as quantifiable. "Let me help you do your job by showing how I don't do my job and do it all with grace and a smile."
In my personal life it's even worse. My works on a principal that I do what I want to do with no repercussions. I don't get to hold him accountable for his school work but I get to field disgruntled phone calls from school staff. I provide the basics of food and clothing that I get to clean up off my floors so I get to work after work and I'm a birch because I get sick of looking at disdain and escape to my room for peace

It is a crying shame when kids take their parents for granted, hopefully
at some point he will grow up and appreciate what you've done for
him.

Merry Xmas Ms K
