Young Tom Selleck and Fuzzy Sweaters It's been a long week, folks.... I missed 2 days of work, I've been without a car, I cried so hard I wound up with a red spot in my eye, and I'm currently sitting on my bed watching 'Shrek'. A lot has happened. For starters, I wore a blue chenille sweater work on Thursday.... Chenille! The fabric that keeps on giving!! I'm pretty sure I'll be lint rolling my way through life for the next 4 as everywhere I look I see blue fuzz. Good lord.... Note self - No More Chenille!! On Wednesday I ate lunch with Nose Hairs and spent the majority of the time talking about young Tom Sellec Oooh la la!! Young Tom Selleck!! I can honestly say that Tom Selleck was my first crush.... From way back in the days that he played Thomas Magnum and sported that amazing tan and character building stashe... It's because of him that I still find a mustache kind of sexy. I have to say though, I find it kind of weird that Nose Hairs even brought up the subject by showing a pic of Tom in all his Magnum Glory.... Guys don't normally want to discuss the attractiveness of other guys with women. On the bed front, I received an auto refund from Amazon for my new bed. Apparently, it is lost. Lost. How do you lose something like a bed frame? Do they have only one? A tracking number was never created and it never showed shipped... I'm not certain how the world of sellers is created on entities like Amazon... But, I am not impressed. This was kind of a last straw, of sorts, as everything I ordered leading up to Christmas had issues with it as well. I've chosen not to redo my order. I'm hoping once again that Monday is the magic day I get my car bac I never realized how much I rely on my car! It's like my independence has been stripped and I've dropped a few rungs on the responsible adult ladder. There's something be said about being able just hop in your car and go whenever the hell you feel like it. I will never take it for granted again! This whole car thing has really created a lot of anxiety within .... When I discovered on Saturday that I was not getting it back yet I felt myself kind of dip into a pit of despair. It was not good. I ended up slipping into a full on panic attac My heart was beating out of my chest and I was starting hyperventilate when the Spawn reached over and held my hand. I could feel myself tearing up and my face and chest felt warm.... "It's not that bad Mom." "I.... Can't.... Help.... It...." I closed my eyes and she scootched up next and we sat there for a long moment. "Oh My God... I can literally hear your heart beat." This made me laugh a little, and I could feel myself relaxing.... "I'm surprised you can't see it beating too." I had been tempted a couple of times to come here and write, but, decided against it. It's not good for me to write when I'm in a dark place.... I tend to rehash the things that make me feel upset, making it that much worse. God knows I didn't need to feel worse than I already was feeling... So, for now, I'll continue to keep my hopes up that one day I'll be able to peel the sheets back on my bed and not see blue fuzzies and have my working vehicle safely located outside in the parking lot. Dare to dream! |

Secret_lade, sorry to hear about your car issues and blue fuzzies from your sweater  BTW, what happened to showing us that sweater that accentuates your bosom? You said when you wore it again you would give us a peek:--)

I can so relate I had a bit of a panic attack myself. Lost my car keys. Still don't know where the f*** I put them. We have a spare, but I kind of spun out on that one. The Man-child [my son] had to calm me down with deep breathing and a couple of episodes of "Arrested Development." "Oh my God, am I having a stroke now?? I think I'm dying."

"Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy wuz he?" Sorry, just a song about a bear I learned at infants school.I kind of miss driving but I never felt comfortable because of my rheumatic condition so I rarely drove on long journeys. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear... Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.... Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't really fuzzy, was he.... HA!

I sold my car in 2015 and since I have been taking care of my mother, I drive her's and a long story short, I will definitely miss driving it she drives again.You got one cool daughter there my friend

I can most definitely Feel for Your Anxiety when it comes to cars !! Had mine in shop for a, Safety Recall , on the rear end, a week and a half ago !! Took it in on a Thursday and was told it would be done late Friday Afternoon !! Got the call at about 4 p.m. Friday that they needed another day as some parts of repair was , " Giving them fits. " !! Call came late Saturday, BUT , They had to put one side back together so car was drive-able and not Completed !! When they took NEW part out of box, it was BENT !! NEW one was ordered but being a Holiday on Monday would likely be 3 to 5 days after that to get part In !!! STILL waiting to hear that part is In so repair can be Completed !!

Oh man, I feel your anxiety! I swear... every single DAY I think "will this be the day I'm going to be standing on on the shoulder of the interstate, waiting for the tow truck?" I'm so tired of wondering if I'll get where I'm going and then get home again. ((hug))

I can't remember the last time I only had 1 vehicle. I always have a back up car or motorcycle. Currently 1 car, 2 motorcycles, but shopping for a cheap 2nd car.

Good Luck on getting the blue Fuzz picked up and also on getting your vehicle back soon. I am surprised that some of the younger kids do not feel they need a license or a car. I am not sure if they feel they will wait to get a self driving car or ? I could hardly wait to get the license and my own car (any car at that point LOL

i understand about the car. mines blew up on the way to work . .good God, i was just glad to get to the shoulder without anyone else potentially losing their car too. i sat there for a few seconds until a man was knocking on the window talking about "you know your cars on fire". believe it or not, but i chuckledOL because what else could go wrong? apparently, there were flames underneath and that was the end of my car. it took a bank loan and 5 weeks (don't ask why so long) for me to find another car. i am mobile again. not having transportation is very high anxiety producing. so i get what you mean; the stress, frustration, aggravation. nobody held my hand - lol! you're lucky

I have really felt dead in the water without my car.... I don't like to rely on anyone for anything so this has been particularly disheartening. Keep your fingers crossed that I get it back today.
