Evolving an American Tantra

Tantra as I understand it is an adaptation of spiritual methodology culturally located in India. Chinese Taoism has a similar sexual yoga with its own flavors and nuances. As Zen practitioners have opined, if folks want to practice Zen in the American setting, it needs to be located within the American cultural stream. That is my interest--what does an American Tantra look like?
